Several years ago I was looking for someone to replace the foggy glass
in my townhouse windows. I talked to Craig Grossman at Creative
Horizons. After talking to him I knew it would be his company to call
when I was ready to replace the windows, not just the glass. This was
the year, I did call Craig, and I was so glad I did.
The windows I had were so bad the plaster was crumbling around my
windows. There were ugly stains from moisture and I had to tape up all
the windows to keep the cold air out.
Now, I have beautiful looking windows! They are so easy to use and to
clean. They are completely weather protected. The air inside the house
is an even temperature now.
I followed Craig's advice and had trim put all around the windows and it
has added so much style and finished look to my house. The patio sliding
window is sturdy, strong, and secure (with built-in additional safety
locks). I can set the locks at any point I want so the door is open a
little or a lot. And it glides. Really. No effort.
Most of my windows have half-round windows on top of double-hung
windows, making it more challenging to install. But Craig and his
installation expert Andy did a fantastic job of it. And most of the time
working with snow storms, wind, rain. And holidays. I was concerned for
my cat and what was still being worked on and told Craig. It was
Christmas Eve morning. Craig and Andy were at my house within an hour
and checked everything to be sure my cat was safe.
The window on my stairway landing is magnificent. It is a tall,
beautiful window that is actually three windows: a double hung, a
picture, and a half round on top. It really is stunning, so much so that
I decided to leave the top windows without curtains so I can see out the
window, and see the window itself.
Craig is so easy to work with, is always available, goes way out the
ordinary to help. He was remarkable with the townhouse association
approval process. He even helped me replace a mailbox lock that broke,
and never complained that it was well below freezing that day. He put
the converter box on my TV, too.
I interviewed two other companies and got an email from each with
estimates. Why would I ever hire them? Creative Horizons is there for
you, the customer, all the way through the process. They are honest,
helpful, neat, considerate, and enjoy the work they do. Oh, and they
have a Better Business Bureau A+ rating. Because they earn it with every
job they do.

My wife and I just bought our first home in Lake Zurich and realized we had
major moisture/mold and water problems, especially in the crawl space. A
cursory examination of the gutters showed them to be badly in need of
replacement, and before we had the crawlspace done we wanted to eliminate
the gutters as a source of water.
I knew I wanted seamless gutters, and through various research and using
Angie??s List I zeroed
in quickly on Creative Horizons International (C.H.I.), a small,
Palatine-based company run by Craig Grossman, that had far more reports than
anyone else and nearly 100% ??A?s. My wife met with Craig for the
estimate and was singing his praises from the get-go, citing his astonishing
thoroughness in giving her as much information as possible in order to make
an informed decision. We got estimates with a couple other companies, but
both of us wanted to go with C.H.I.
After some time had passed getting estimates on everything else that was
needed on the house, and needing to get the gutters done first, I called
Craig late Sunday afternoon and left a voice mail asking him
to call as soon as he was able. He called me back that evening after doing
other projects all day, and I told him we wanted to get the gutters done.
Unfortunately he was backlogged for the next five weeks solid: a stunning
testament to just how much C.H.I. is in demand (they also do siding and
windows).
Once I told him that we needed to get the gutters replaced within the next
week, Craig went to great lengths to find a way to fit us in on such short
notice. After checking with his foreman Andy that scheduling would allow it,
Craig had his crew in to perform the work on Tuesday morning, a day and a
half after I had first called him!
Craig not only thoroughly explained how the Alside perforated cap system on
the gutters works to prevent buildup of water and debris in the gutter
buckets more effectively than other leading brands (Alside is the only brand
he uses), but brought samples when we met on Monday night to finalize
everything for Tuesday morning so I could see how the system works.
Fortunately Tuesday was a beautiful day with nary a cloud in the sky, and
installation went without a hitch. In addition to finding a corner where the
old gutters had not met up and fixing that, they also custom-built a small
piece to close off a gap where the slope of the roof changed that flowed
perfectly with the house. Although I asked for extensions and he could have
simply said ??Of course,? Craig advised me that I could get them at Home
Depot much cheaper, to save us money. We appreciated that. They worked
nonstop until the job was finished, and then carefully picked up everything
around the house related to the install.
By 3 p.m. they were gone. Thanks to C.H.I. and their willingness to fit us
in rather than risk losing a new customer, we were able to get brand-new
seamless gutters and meet our timeline for getting everything else done with
the house. Eventually we will need to get new windows and siding, and when
we do, we plan to call C.H.I.
Craig and C.H.I. bring a level of commitment to service that you simply
don't find anymore. Recently after the bad snow and ice storms we had
concerns about the gutters and what was happening with all the ice and water
(nothing related to any of the work he had done) and emailed him on the
weekend. He called the same day to get follow-up details, though there was
no need for him to come out based on what we told him. He and his crew are
consummate professionals and we recommend him heartily for any work you may
need to have done.

Several months ago we began the process of interviewing companies to
replace the windows on my 47 year old home. It was a daunting task as
salesmen from several different window companies came to my home to do
their song and dance. The replacement of my windows would not be an easy
job as the wood frames around the outside of my casement windows were
disintegrating. In addition, the walls on the inside of my home are made
of plaster, which could complicate the removal of the windows as the
potential for major cracking was a concern for all of the companies we
interviewed.
Through an acquaintance, I was referred to Craig Grossman and Creative
Horizons Home Improvements for one last estimate. What a difference a
day makes. As soon as we met Craig we knew that he was a man of honesty
and integrity. Craig owns and manages the company. Craig comes to your
home personally, does the initial estimate, explains the installation
process, and answers all your questions. There is no middle-man with
Creative Horizons; it is a wonderful company to do business with.
The other companies we interviewed were all exactly alike and in the end
we were not impressed because they all had the same spiel and it
appeared to be a complicated ordeal. There were just too many people
involved in replacing the windows and we felt like giving up. There were
salesmen, estimators, contractors, and then we would have to deal with
the billing departments, foremen and construction crews. When you deal
with Craig all of that goes away it is GREAT
Creative Horizons sent the best construction crew to my home, and they
were unbelievable . They were knowledgeable, friendly, respectful, and
VERY CLEAN as the stripped the old windows down to the brick. The
craftsmanship and skill they exhibited was a testimony to this fine
organization. I have already recommended this fine organization to
several individuals and I hope anyone who reads this critique will give
them a call, I am confident you will notice the difference from the
other cookie cutter companies you find in the phone book.
Thanks again to Creative Horizons for putting up with us over this
lengthy decision making process, your patience and understanding was
appreciated and thanks for saving us a pile of cash on our heating
bills.

Hi Craig,
I just wanted to take a moment and let everyone know how great an
experience it has been working with you on our Alside window
replacements. It is not every day that you come across a business person
like Craig. Your level of care and attention to quality are rare in the
home improvement industry and I applaud you on your service and level of
committment to your customers. In doing lots of research, I learned that
dealing with the rigth installers is as important as the windows
themselves. You and your crew were wonderful to deal with. I was always
very comfortable with the care and attention they provided and your
regular responsiveness was amazing. I am waiting to see what cold
weather the winter will bring,but I am now very confident that my
windows won't be the problem of my home energy losses and I am sure that
if we ever have issues with the windows, you will be there in a moment
to help solve them.

UNBELIEVABLE is the only way to describe Craig Grossman and Creative
Horizons. I talked to numerous companies regarding my home improvement
project and selected Creative Horizons because of Craig's in depth
knowledge of his products, attention to detail and commitment to, not
only customer service, but complete customer satisfaction. His crew (
Andy & Martin), like Craig, were consumate professionals and the
substantial project ( 16 new windows and 200 + feet of new gutters
including Smart Screen) was completed beyond my every expectation. So
impressed with their work, I have contracted Creative Horizons to put a
complete new entry way in my home. I highly recommend Craig & Creative
Horizons .....I only wish there were more than 5 Stars as they are truly

Creative Horizons was a pleasure to deal with. From the initial sales
presentation to the final inspection, the process was smooth and
professional.
The installation workers did great work and were extremely neat. Andy,
the chief installer was extremely patient and listened to my concerns.
He also made some helpful suggestions. His installation of windows and
gutters was immaculate and exactly what we discussed. I had a time
constraint and Andy and his crew worked literally non-stop to finish
when I needed them to.
Craig Grossman is an extremely attentive and honest small business
owner. He answered every question we had even though a few had nothing
to do with his products. Craig was so attentive to the process we never
had to call him with questions. He was present at every stage of the
work. We would use Creative Horizons in a heartbeat and would recommend

Home maintenance and repair is hard enough when you have a general idea of
what is wrong and how to fix it and even more challenging when you must rely
on experts to explain and resolve the issues. Adding to the complexity is
the differences of opinion these experts will give as well as prices they
quote for the fix. However, Craig Grossman, President of CHI, breaks the
mold and sets the bar.
Rather than push for an unneeded replacement or upgrade of our existing
exterior siding and capping, Craig listened to our issues and suggested
practical and cost-effective alternatives to the problems. Additionally,
when his team (Andy) found additional trouble areas, Craig communicated with
me and addressed them fairly and to my complete satisfaction.
While Craig and CHI will not necessarily be the cheapest solution, their
price is more than justified by their honesty, integrity, professionalism,
communication, and craftsmanship. I would highly recommend CHI to anyone who
understands the value of great work at an honest price. I definitely plan on
using CHI again.

About 6 years ago, we had you replace some windows and put vinyl siding,
on our house. You had been recommended by someone, and we were so glad
that you were. At that time, I wrote a letter praising your work and
your people. We were very pleased with the finished jobs, and have
recommended you to others.
Now, we wanted to replace 8 windows in our house, which had not been
previously done. Of course we immediately called you. You gave us a
great price, very competitive, and came out and explained all about the
windows you were recommending.
When the windows came in, you called us and said one window was not
good, and were reordering it, so that all of them would meet your specs.
Once you got the replacement window in, you called us and said they were
ready for installation. We wanted them installed soon, so you arranged
to have them put in on a Sunday morning. What other company works on a
Sunday? Doug and Dominick showed up exactly as scheduled and worked for
5 hours on a sunday morning to get the job done for us.
They were very neat and thorough, and to our surpirse, you even showed
up to make sure they were doing a good job, and that we were satisfied.
We would defineitely recommend you again, at any time, to our friends
and whomever we came in contact with. We are even thinking of using you
and your company to replace our roof in the near future. That is how

It is so rare that a homeowner finds a home improvement company worthy of note, that
we bad to write this letter to compliment Creative Horizons Home Improvements on their
work.
As you know, the siding and windows element was the last major piece in literally a
whole house remodel on our home. A remodel undertaking that is going well, but
approaching the 6+ month mark. Fortunately your firm came to us through a referral, and
we had the opportunity to see Creatives work up close before we met you. We were
very impressed with what we saw on the other homes. The mark of a good home
improvement job is the details (i.e. finish work) and customer service provided
pre/during/post transaction. What we saw was good, but in no way prepared us for what
we experienced with our own job.
From the very first moments, the customer service was exceptional. Every question was
answered and explained thoroughly, in some cases examples were even shown to us to
help complete our understanding of the given subject.
The work crew was wonderful, and consisted of three men: Olk, Pawel. They were on
the job every day (even Saturdays) of the nearly two week job,
worked long, full days, and were very pleasant. The job was completed within the
estimated time frame, and extra efforts were made to accommodate a party date that was
scheduled. On site questions were answered courteously, and anything that needed
attention was taken care immediately if possible, but certainly within 24 hours.
Craig, we truly appreciate your accessibility and quick response to our questions. It was
wonderful to see you visit the site daily in order to keep things on track. That fact, in
itself, is worthy of note because it is virtually non-existent in the industry.
Again, we thank you for a hassle free and seamless job. We look forward to enjoying our

I just wanted to let you know how pleased Linda and I have been with the work you did on the
house. As you know, we became aware of the poor quality of work performed by Craig
Construction when they installed siding on our new addition several years ago and later when
they replaced our gutters and sofflts. We had great difficulty getting them to come back and fix
up siding that was buckling and soffit pieces that were falling off When he did come back, the
fix up was only temporary. To make matters worse, squirrels and birds were finding a new home
in our attic. The installer claimed to be the best in the company. If so, we feel sorry for all the
other homeowners he deceived.
Naturally, we knew we had to do something. Your presentation was professional and frank. We
were distressed, of course, when you recommended that we remove all the siding and gutter
work and replace it. But deep down, we knew you were right. So we bit the bullet and gave you
the OK.
Now that your work is finished, we can really see the difference in materials and workmanship.
The color is much deeper and the panels are sturdier than the former siding. In addition, the fit,
level, and overall appearance it much better. Your guys were courteous, hard working, reliable,
and professional. And your foreman, Ben, really knows his stuff. As a result, our home as great
curb appeal and we are no longer embarrassed when people come over to visit.

and gutters using Alside Odyssey siding. Craig is a wonderful person to work
with. He's the owner and the only person I dealt with. Craig will install any
brand of windows you want but he's an Alside dealer and was very excited about
the Alside windows and siding. His enthusiasm for the products is demonstrated
by the amount of knowledge and confidence he has for the Alside windows and
siding. The sales portion of his visit was not high pressure and in fact, he
would not sign a contract during his first visit. Craig's installation team did
a wonderful job and was able to keep the work area clean and neat. On the very
last day, the crew spent several hours cleaning the yard and picked up all loose
debris. I hired Craig even though I had other quotes that were slightly lower or
about the same. But I knew that Craig used the best materials and installation
techniques so I had the peace of mind knowing that the work was going to be high

CAPPED, TRIMMED AND CAULKED. NEW SIDING IS ALSIDE CHARTER OAK DUTCH LAP VINYL.
REPLACED INSULATION, GUTTERS, SOFFITS, FASCIA AND SHUTTERS. CRAIG, THE OWNER,
TOOK OVER THE COMPANY THAT HIS LATE FATHER FOUNDED. HE IS VERY PASSIONATE ABOUT
ALSIDE PRODUCTS. HE RETURNED PHONE CALLS PROMPTLY AND VISITED THE SITE DAILY.
YOU GET PLENTY OF PERSONAL ATTENTION FROM CRAIG. THE CREW WAS HARD WORKING AND

I want to thank you one more time for the miracle you and Creative Horizons International,
Inc. performed on my windows. They are magnificent.
I admit., I was very nervous about replacing my homes windows, but you assured me it
would be fine. It was finer than fine! The whole process painless! Your constant attention to
the project was very reassuring. My home wasnt just another job. Any concerns I had you
gave me answers and examples without hesitation. This made my worries disappear.
It was so nice to talk with someone that actually liked, believed, and knew every thing
about his product. This told me I was working with a first dass operation. I knew I had
chosen the right contractor. It is so refreshing to find someone that explains the entire
process, answers your questions, and goes above and beyond to do an impeccable job.

1 just wanted to write to you and once again thank you for all that you have done for me. As you
know, 1 recently purchased a home that unfortunately had many undisclosed problems. One of those
undisclosed, problems was a water leakage problem that was occurring directly in line with four of my
townhouse windows. After weeks of aggravations, it was determined that my window seals were
the reason for my water problems and I needed new windows. This set forth a process of getting
window estimates. This is where Creative Horizons International came into the picture. After
meeting with you and seeing your product, I would have bought your windows on that alone.
However. your windows were not only the best quality windows that I had the opportunity to examine
but also your prices were extremely fair, falling right into the middle of the various estimates I had
received; a bargain considering the difference in quality and workmanship. You also went that extra
mile to thoroughly examine my existing windows and water problem, something no one else made an
effort to do.
I know for a fact had I chosen another manufacturer, I would not have received your
incredible service, quality of installation, and product value. You went above and beyond to make
sure that my water problems would be resolved. That included being at my residence during
installation and also adding extra precautions such additional caulking, at no extra charge. I can
already see and feel the difference my new windows have made in my home. We arc having an
unusually cold spring and what was once a draft in my downstairs is completely gone! And of
course, my water problems are no more!

Your crew did an outstanding job installing the vinyl siding on our home. Weve
already received many compliments from our neighbors. In fact my next door
neighbor is an engineer and he remarked about the workmanship, especially
around the windows.
In retrospect, the performance of your crew reflects the standards set by you, the
owner. Out of all the companies that provided bids, you thoroughly reviewed
your bid with us, answering all our questions to our satisfaction. You even took
things a step further. You took the time to educate us about the product and
about the details of the installation. None of the other companies did this. They
seemed to be more concerned about the sale, rather than our comfort level with
this major purchase.
You stated that our satisfaction was your number one concern. That goal was
more than met. It is refreshing to deal with someone who places a high price on
integrity. We wouldnt hesitate to recommend your services to anyone and would
enthusiastically do so (as we already have to our neighbors).
